Published by Longmans, Green, and Co., 39 Paternoster Row, London, as two volumes. The first, thicker volume, "The Historical Geography of Europe" contains the text, the second volume, "Atlas to the Historical Geography of Europe" contains the maps.

The pages measure 148 by 223 mm. The double-page maps measure 256 by 196 mm, the half-page maps 129 by 98 mm, both measure=ing the areas bound by the black borders.

Unfortunately there are small black specks on many of the plates. The prices charged for the original scans are correspondingly low.
